Frenchs Forest High School Redevelopment

Project: Frenchs Forest High School Redevelopment
Location: Frenchs Forest, Sydney NSW, Metro
Client: ADCO Constructions
Scope: Builder’s Clean and Final Clean of new secondary education facilities

Project Overview
Frenchs Forest High School forms part of the NSW Government’s investment in expanding public education infrastructure to support growing communities across Sydney’s northern beaches.

Delivered by ADCO Constructions, the redevelopment provides modern learning environments designed to accommodate increasing student enrolments and contemporary teaching models. The project includes new classroom buildings, specialist learning spaces and upgraded shared facilities to support a dynamic secondary education environment.

Scope of Works, Cleaning
Internal builder’s clean of new teaching buildings, including general learning areas, specialist classrooms and administration spaces.

Detailed final clean of science labs, amenities, staff facilities, circulation areas and specialist learning environments to education sector presentation standards.

Full external clean of façades, glazing, covered walkways and hard landscaping areas across the entire campus.

At late notice, we were instructed to complete a comprehensive clean of the entire school, internally and externally, within a strict one week programme ahead of opening.

To achieve this, 30+ staff were mobilised across day and night shifts, enabling continuous works and accelerated delivery across all buildings and external areas. Final clean was delivered ahead of practical completion to support on time school opening.

Challenges and Solutions
The requirement to clean the entire campus inside and out within just one week required rapid mobilisation of labour, plant and supervision. A 30+ person workforce operating across staggered day and night shifts with adequate supervision ensured productivity was maintained without compromising quality.

Operating within a live project environment nearing completion meant trades were finalising works concurrently. Our team implemented zone control, progressive re cleans and structured quality inspections to maintain presentation standards under compressed timeframes.

Close coordination with ADCO’s site management ensured priority areas were completed first, enabling inspections and defect close out ahead of the official opening.

Outcome
Despite the accelerated timeframe, the full internal and external clean was completed successfully within one week.

The large scale mobilisation and extended shift structure ensured the school was delivered to presentation standards suitable for immediate occupation, supporting a seamless and on time opening of the new Frenchs Forest High School facilities.
